I've been dropping Green Day's Kill The DJ references all day and only one person has picked up on them.
I'll always give Green Day's stuff a listen to, but I'll probably never like a Green Day album as much as I like Dookie. Or American Idiot. Don't get me wrong, I still like them, but Uno! and Dos! sound lackluster to me (from what I've heard of them).
my problems with them was that Oh Love sounded like I had heard it before and with Kill The DJ it was really repetitive.
I wouldn't have hated them that much but I got confronted with my biggest issue with music on the comments when their 14 year screaming girls fans started saying "How dare you not like this one song they made, you're not a true fan if you don't like everything they make"
bands should make you like songs, you shouldn't like them because you feel obliged
sorry for ranting.

It's fine, I hate the tween girls, too.
They all say "If you don't like this, you aren't a real fan, dumbass"
and Kill the DJ is repetitive, but it's catchy and funny, too.
I find it fun.
"Hold 'em underwater 'til the motherfucker drowns."
But I'm having trouble trying to pay attention because every time I think about the next line, they're just repeating the last line.
