Like Noah said, it is a difficult riff, but it doesn't change about much, so once you've got the hard parts down you're set.
My Dad plays it as a warm-up before he starts playing/practising.

Electric Uncle Same doesn't require a 6 string, and they're easier than you thing. They're what I played as a bass noob.

Well, I'm Only Sleeping by the Beatles has a good bass line.
If you want a good sounding beat without a challenge, Float On by Modest Mouse is good.
Come Together is a classic, not that much of a challenge though.
In the end it really depends on what music you like and what type you feel like playing/like to play.

I mostly use his old '79 Precision bass, as pictured above [i fucking love this thing], but we also have in our aresnal a 83 jackson custom series concert bass, a spector and shitty squier fretless jazz bass. I'd like to get a music man stingray though
