Oh I totally agree. I was trying to picture a band version once in and it sounded pretty bad. I feel like sometimes they have songs that would sound better acoustic, but are released otherwise to fit in more with the album. Everchanging, Anywhere but here, ready to fall, and wait for me could of been acoustic and possibly sound better than there originals.
I think it would be awesome if they made like a itunes exclusive acoustic cover album

True, that would be awesome. For some reason I like the original version of Everchanging, probably because it has bass in it. I fucking love the bass guitar, which is a big reason why I'm into punk. The acoustic version is amazing, though. I could fall asleep to either version easily.
Everchanging is my second favorite, Heaven Knows will always be my first. I've listened to that song everyday since September of 2011, about three times a week I leave the song on replay for hours. I don't know how I can listen to the song so much, but I can.
thats awesome, I listen to Rise Against every day, but I usually cycle through the albums. Like for a few weeks im listening to the unraveling nonstop, then outta nowhere switch to Sufferer and the Witness, and then like revolutions per minute and so on. Not really on purpose but usually theres one album I listen to the most at a given time depending on my mood and none of them ever get stale to me, except for endgame a little bit. Probably cuz I listened to it for a few months straight after it came out :P
Revolutions Per Minute and The Unraveling have been my favorite albums for a while, but I still really like Appeal to Reason because that's the album that got me into Rise Against. From RA I found so many new bands, and I got into punk from them.
I started with Sufferer around 09, then I found Appeal. At that time I looked at a few older songs of theirs and I wasnt really into it so I just continued to listen to their newer stuff. Once Endgame came out I realized how much I enjoy their music so I gave their older albums a chance again and now I enjoy them even more than their newer stuff. I even found out one of my favorite video games when I was younger had RA on the soundtrack and I loved that song which means I was a fan even before I knew it xD
Since then ive been obtaining more less known songs of theirs like obstucted view and generation lost and ive been finding some acoustic versions of their songs. I own all their albums digitally and am now trying to get hard copies aswel.
Even though I havent been a hardcore fan for as long as many of their fans I feel like ive been making up for it and I now am starting to enjoy other punk bands like Anti-flag and noFX because of them.

That's almost exactly the same story as me, but I became a fan around 2010. Sadly, I don't remember ever hearing any music from them as a kid.
Also, I don't own any of their albums digitally, but I could just download them onto iTunes. I ordered them from the site, not too expensive. Basically the normal price of a CD.
