A couple of things
1. Brace for an epic thumbs down strike. FJ is ot a place to say anything good about Macs.
2. I would not say Macs=creativity. "Artistic" people use Macs because of A. their Upper-Middle class aging hippie parents and B. the fact that they do not want to take the time to master the use of a PC.
3. PCs are more susceptible to viruses because they are used by at least 90% of the business world (and 90% of people in general). Mac's aren't popular enough to bother with making a virus for one.

#3 isn't entirely true. It's difficult as all hell to create viruses for Unix-based systems. And besides, Mac users are idiots, remember? They're a prime market, and the share is growing.

If you were a cyber-terrorist (intent on causing chaos), would you want to make useless the computers that run the government and the economy or those of some self-righteous art-school student?

Addendum: the huge majority of hackers don't want to bring down the entire government, they want money. The stupider the user base, the more likely it is that you'll get money from them (phishing scams, w/e).
