Kids didn't get away with that shit 50 years ago, they got an ass whooping for acting like this little brat. They also didn't get expensive gifts and had to help do chores. I hate the way childrens' well being and hap[piness seem to dictate all life today. They are spoiled to death. Adults' rights are subjugated for kids. Why in hell was this allowed to happen? They act like wild animals in public. Isn't it fun to listen to screaming brats while going shopping or eating out? I was at a friend's house and a good program was about to come on TV. My friend changed channels because he said it wasn't age -appropriate for his visiting relative's kids! To hell with the little bastards; put them in a separate room. Have kids today, and say goodbye to 18-20 years of your life. Bullshit!!

The real problem is that parents are told not to discipline their children. Even breathe in the same room as kids and someone starts calling you an abusive parent. Instead of timeouts and letting your kid "express themselves," how about the back of your hand? Smack them until they shut up. But oh no, can't do that. We have a whole generation of children that was supposed to be gentler and better behaved because of pill-popping and no physical discipline, and how's that working out? It's not working. Our parents (at least mine) made me earn their respect. They told me when I was screwing up, and they whupped the hell out of me when I needed it. I'm glad they did. I learned to not be a little brat, and no kid is learning that today.
