Slash-burning Twister

I used to do slashpile burning contracts in British Columbia. Light huge fires and move on. I saw this sorta thing a few times. There's no fire in this one, but sometimes you'd see twisters of flame going up into the sky.

Huge fires on opposite sides of the road suck the air between them until they're spiralling. Sounds like a jet engine powering up.
