yes he did, the guy tried to get back to his stuff while legally being searched, that by law is illegal, so what the cop did with the take down and arrest was standard procedure.

He was legally allowed to be that violent o.O wow, i am legitimately surprised

he wasn't being violent, the guy was technically resisting arrest, which by the book required a take down like that. all he did was put him in a simple joint lock, put him on the ground and arrest him, thats INCREDIBLY soft for what he could have done and gotten away with.

Huh, i didn't think it was so much "resisting" more the guy being a complete mental mute and a retard

by the book, if the cop says to do something and the guy he is talking to does something else it can be classified as resisting. The true definition of resisting arrest has become kind of blurred unfortunately.
