You know what the fkd up part is for me? Im demiromatic/demisexual. I HAVE to be best friends with a girl before im even attracted to her. I cant flirt or just ask a girl out after 2-3 months because Im just not attracted to her until I see her as a close friend. No matter how hot the girl is, if i dont see her a best friend, i cant date her...looks isnt enough for me to date someone. fml.

I'm a demisexual as well. And sometimes a friend I really don't know well will say he wants to get with me and I just can't do anything with him because I'm not attracted to him. I don't know him well so why would I?
That's why seeing all these "friend zoned" stuff annoys me, since for me, there's no other way the relationship can even start unless he's good friends with me in the first place.

Thank you...at least there are some girls out there who feel the same. I just dont understand the concept of the friendzone...who better to date than your best friend? lol Your partner in life/ siginificant other should be your best friend cos eventually if you get married your spending a lifetime with them..so they have to be like your best friend.

The friendzone only applies to people who want to date, then eventually move on, in my opinion. I'm not looking for just someone to date for a few months/a year or so. I'd rather have someone that I can be with for a long time. Demisexual and Hopeless Romantic kinda goes well with each other, but still caused me to not date anyone in high school.
