It's trying to say that ink cost and does not last long and that's why the printers are cheap and ink drys up over time.
But laser printers use toner and last for a long time.
P.S. I use a laser printer and its only good for simple stuff not good for pictures.
Pictures need to be color and color lasers are very expensive so go with color ink printers.
