you guys have no idea what you're talking about. This guy is one of the most amazing players alive. This passage - which does not reflect his abilities or style at all - is part of a bigger picture, to illustrate a point about rhythmical sentences. It's on his Melodic Phrasing video, which is one of the finest, most informative instructional videos ever made.
