I have designed a shoulder fired a-gauge shotgun but it would have unimaginable recoil. put it this way. when mounted on a boat it'll send the boat back about 10 ft. imagine how strong you'd have to be to fire that. it would weigh about 50-60lbs

the largest shotgun ever made was an eight gauge there is no such thing as a 1 gauge
