yet again more women-hating retards.

This list is why a large majority of wives kill themselves each year.

we just want a competent male, but oh sorry forgot - there isn't one.

Actually women are more likely to attempt suicide, while men are more likely to complete the act
This is why men get paid more; they get the job done

That's because men tend to use more brutal ways of death, IE hanging, jumping, gunshot

Women use poison and such which is less absolute and is more prone to failure

Yes, a joke.

So we can all laugh at ourselves because we know all of this isn't fact, but rather a stereotype that comes up, making it funny because there's a little truth to it at times.

All you could raise anyone to believe is that you're a frigid bitch who cannot laugh at anything, and hates men.

You dislike this list, but here everyone is having a good laugh at something small and you felt the need to come in and try and bitch the place up by making up depressing facts about wives killing themselves over this list and children being raised wrong, and blah blah, nag nag.

You are the stereotype woman in this list who hates stupid fun and you disgust yourself.

Here's how it is. You find a girl and you are like this one is different, she is cool. Turns out wrong. All it takes is one day you use the towels that are for decoration and not for drying yourself. Then you realize she isn't cool. There are snakes in her head telling her to get angry at you.

But at the end of the day she tolerates you doing those things, so it's not so bad. That's love.

1: Knees above hips = good depth
2: Head is tucked forward creating a neutral spine position
3: Heels are properly planted to create strongest pushing foundation
4: Chest and shoulders aren't being rounded forward into kyphosis

That's some next-level ignorance right there.

Full squats are actually much better for joint health as long as you don't try to quickly shoot down and bounce out of the bottom position. Half squats are actually far worse for your joints because they don't allow for the full stretch of the tendons and joint. I used to do half squats and I started having knee pain, but as I switched over to full squats the knee pain went away.

A lot of people do atg squats wrong. It's not the squat's fault, it's the practitioner's fault.

you best check yourself before you shrek yourself.

All we can do is agree to disagree, because we obviously have differing sources. It's not like this is the first time it's been argued over whether or not to go past parallel. But, if it's of any interest to you, when I was doing ass to the grass, my knees hurt and were making unpleasant sounds. Ever since I've stopped at parallel, that hasn't been an issue.
User avatar #113 to #107 - studbeefpile
Reply +1 123456789123345869

You were probably rocketing down into the hole trying to take advantage of the Myotatic Reaction. When you stop at parallel you're forced to slow down as you get there to avoid going past parallel, so you eliminate the forced pressure on the joint. Parallel squatting isn't bad, but half squatting will ******* rek you.

Also, I'm not a random keyboard warrior, I'm a competitive powerlifter.

Then you should know just how common it is for powerlifters to wear out and damage their knees later in life. Part of it is reckless form that will achieve results for their purpose, but isn't always very healthy.

Except that I wasn't rocketing into any holes when I was squatting deep and feeling joint pain. I was using correct form--well, as correct as you could when doing ass to the grass.

I'm sorry, but you're far from a reliable source, and I have no reason to blindly trust you. Especially when every other source I've checked on this, including the words of numerous personal trainers, all say the opposite.

What I think, is that you've gotten your information from other powerlifters, who obviously always go past parallel. And powerlifters just happen to be some of the worst people to get advice from about lifting safely. They're not looking for safety. They're looking for results. Just the fact that they use such ridiculous weight and go for ~3 reps should really be a prime example of this.

I'm a more reliable source than you are.

Also, for the record, becoming a "certified personal trainer" requires some foolish 2 day course or something like that. Most personal trainers will also tell you to bench with the bar aligned with your shoulders, and that you shouldn't touch your chest, and that **** will cause major injuries.

Ah, yes, the tucked in elbows while benching. I don't have a problem with that form. It apparently gives you more power, and is necessary for heavier weights, unless you want injury. However, elbows outwards is the standard, and is fine for more manageable weights.

Elbows out puts the stress on the shoulder joint instead of the chest muscle, it's just never a good idea.

I think I know what you might've been doing with squats before. It's possible that you were only breaking at the knees, and not using your hips at all, which would cause pain, because it's an improper way to go to depth.

All I know is that I used to have joint pain from half squats, and now I dont. Also, Jonnie Candito can full squat 550, and he doesn't have any knee problems, and neither do most powerlifters who know what they're doing.

Nope, I didn't do that. I engaged my hips.

Which is why we can't trust individual examples, and have to look at a bigger picture. You say "most powerlifters," which implies you know most powerlifters on a level where you'd know whether or not they had joint problems.
Again, all we can do is agree to disagree. We're obviously not getting anywhere with this.

See, I'm a competitive Powerlifter, so I know my **** when it comes to lifting as well. I also study muscular biology/joint and posture rehab, and have already done successful work despite only being 17. So yeah.

I snapped at you because I thought you were another one of those guys who hates everyone that lifts for no reason.

Today I learned that men have a sense of humor and women don't.
Good to know.

not all gas pumps have that display though, a lot of them actually have smoother numbers / text, i have never seen a calculator that uses any other text

that doesn't mean show me one that doesn't because i don't care

Lol i thought it was because he had that same problem i did, i can't leave the pump at normal numbers it's always gotta be the flip. ex. if it's $24.08 i'll make it 24.42. it's a habit and it's bad...but i won't stop.
