Why didn't he just buy him a goddamn $1 burger? Was that really too expensive for him?

i think anon's point is that the burger would be more filling and nutritious lel. mcdonalds and nutrition. than a cookie.

If you really didn't want to live on this planet anymore then you wouldn't. It's not hard to kill a human, try it on yourself faggot. There's always goin to be ****** up things happening, what kind of idiotic view of karma makes you think that buying a cookie means you'll live forever?
Just kill yourself.

in most cases where people do something good, nothing bad happens to them in return. shockingly, we don't hear about that tho

Big deal. People die everyday. We're supposed to feel bad that someone who gets paid to risk his life died, because he bought a cookie?
LMFAO you guys are ******* pathetic on this site. A cop died, big deal. Buying a cookie doesn't make his death mean anything special.

It's really not. He knew the risk when he joined the force. Because he bought a 50 cent cookie he should live forever? Buying a ****** cookie doesn't make him a saint. He died doing his job.

Okay, he knew the risk, so what? He still died, someone is without a father, without a son, without a husband, it's still sad. And he was lucky enough to have his last action be a good deed. Albeit it wasn't some large grandiose expression of greatness, it still probably made that kid's day a little better, and to turn around just to die for no reason at all is a sad thing.

To me it's not about him being a saint because he bought a kid a cookie, it's about the fact that someone who did nothing wrong died just because he wanted to do good. It's your opinion but I think it's a crass one.

And I think your opinion is wrong. He was paid daily to risk his life. He could have just as easily been on the other side of that counter selling the cookie. Instead he made his living with a possibility of death.
Big deal.

It is a big deal, because it takes a lot to risk your life for strangers. It saddens me that just because of his occupation his death is not important, but that's okay. Maybe one day you'll realize that even though people die every day, every one of them hopefully has people who love them and are important to somebody. Yes he chose to work in a career that would risk his life but he shouldn't have had to die. Neither should a child who starved or was beaten, or a spouse who was murdered. I'm not saying this officer should 'live on' or 'be remembered' for buying a cookie but I don't feel like his death is just nothing simply because he was an officer.

When I hang out with my buddies we usually buy $10 of cookies (that's 20 cookies) and a gallon of milk, ****** ******* delicious. The best thing about ordering a large number of them is that they have to make them so they are still warm and chewy when they come out.
