The oppression is starting to become similar, but the Nazi part is not. Last time I checked we're not gassing and entire race.

Wait, you're actually saying that what is happening in America is comparable to what happened in NAZI GERMANY?

Well, considering I suck ass at history and politics whatever I say should not be taken seriously.

Alright.

Well in a nutshell, Nazi Germany had many economic pressures and years of oppression by other countries (mainly because of World War I). Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germany, and from there, the Nazi Party slowly began to eliminate political opposition, until there was nothing left of them. Hitler merged the power of the chancellor and president shortly after the president's death in 1934.

Hitler helped to create Audobahns (High speed highways), and rebuilt Germany's struggling economy through public works and massive military spending. He became popular because he brought Germany back to power, and helped to boost the popularity of the regime in turn.

The regime began to brainwash it's citizens, using various propagandas such as film and posters to teach its citizens, not to mention Hitler was a powerful orator. The government controlled everything that was said and created by it's people, including artwork and literature, completely discouraging or banning it at times.

From there, the third reich made increasingly aggressive territorial demands, which eventually led to the invasions of Austria and Czechoslovakia in 1938 and 1939. Hitler then makes a pact with Stalin, and invades Poland, sparking World War II in Europe.

You can say whatever you want about our government and what they do wrong, but never compare us to that. We joke online about how free we are or that other countries wouldn't have what it takes to be 'murica, but we get to say those things daily, and the government doesn't kill us for it. Yeah, it's a little messed up that they're spying on us, but do you seriously think they're spying on you or me? Unless you're making bombs in your basement, or plotting to overthrow the president, I'm sure they haven't even come close to monitoring you or any of your friends.

I leave you with this 'murica, cause 'murica.
