vegetables yes but not fruits. Fruit sugar is a fast burning carbohydrate which is the worst thing there is when it comes to fat. They are high in vitamins and other gay **** like that though.

you're stupid. fruits are good, you just have to watch calorie intake due to those sugars

Sugars are readily converted to fat if you don't use them (i.e. exercise). If you're purely dieting then fruits are a bad idea. If you're working out and dieting then yeah fruits are good.

Not calorie intake, carbohydrates.
Since sugars are carbs, and weight loss diets are usually very low carb diets, even one fruit a day might be too much depending on what else you eat that day.

eating fruits tends to be about 1/3 the calories of most veggies*( just an over generalization ) this is assuming you add nothing to the veggies when cooking like oil or dressing; that all being said the 120 calories per severing that comes from fruits its going to be unlikely that's what your over eat on, because you will end up ******** your self to death before you reach a weight gain calorie count on fruits alone assuming fresh uncooked, now if you go and eat a bucket of fried chicken then try to pass off that apple pie as your fruit for the day the least of your worries is the sugar in the apples.

assuming Google food calculators are even remotely right you would need to eat 23 apples ( at 242 grams per so more like 46 normal apples ) to reach around 2800 calories assuming your daily needs are 2500, and that the stated average per pound is 3,500 calories( its ****** math but its a workable example) some one would need to eat 23 apples daily for 12 days to even gain 1 pound, try it for a week your asshole will not survive

I understand that they are low calorie. I was never talking about calories. Fruits are sweet because they contain a lot of sugar, and although it is natural sugar, it's still sugar. Sugars are simple carbohydrates that burn quickly and can hinder weight loss. Fruits contain too many carbohydrates for those on a low carbohydrate diet. On a low carb diet, 1 cup of grapes contains more than half your target intake for the day.

On any NORMAL diet for a NORMAL person, they are plenty healthy. But for someone who needs to lose weight because they are obese/diabetic/prediabetic or choose to be on a low carb diet, fruit doesn't work into this plan well. One serving per day maximum.

or you could just eat half the calories you should, e.g. a woman needs 2500, if you eat 1500 a day you'll lose weight. pretty fast actually.

What?
It's totally dependent on the body of the person. I've been skinny for a really long time and often never had a great amount of energy, so I went to the doctor and after measuring my BMI and height among a few other things he basically stated I should be consuming around 3000 calories. Where as I was only really eating about 2000-2500 before.

i read labels on food and watch uk shows that revolve around health, weight and bodies and its usually 2500 for either men or women, sometimes its for men and women are 2000.

Calorie needs for different people vary quite a lot actually. A 200 pound athletically active man could need an upwards of 3000 calories a day to maintain weight. Where my 5'1" blonde friend probably only needs around 1400 to maintain. And, there is a lot more than just those things t oconsider when it comes down to it. Calories are not so cut and dry,

yeah, going with guidance of stuff like that and staying with it strictly leads to under eating or even overeating
but most programmes ive seen are if you go over 2000 dramatically everyday it'll probably make you gain weight

The only way I'd do that is if I was doing intense bodyweight curcuits every other day or powerlifting or something. But, even then I'd probably not go above 2500/600.

Because not everyone looks to far into it.

in this regard any thing is better then nothing, but i personally found the small meals approach to be little more then a placebo effect, or worse a temptation for people eat too much, because of no understanding of just how not small that small meal really is; they just end up eat as much or more thinking they are doing something good while thinking "its almost like not even trying".

ps 2500 daily sounds like too much for any non athlete much less a woman
