Watching fake wrestling is like having sex with a girl who fakes her orgasms. Yes it requires physical effort but it the outcome is fake then what's the fucking point?

The point is the entertainment. Do you care that movies are fake? Of course not, so why should I care that wrestling as fake, just as long as it entertains me?

Well the difference with movies is that they are on a screen, which allows your brain to more easily separate them from reality. That's where suspension of disbelief comes from. With live performances you can't really buy into it unless it's done VERY well, and wrestling doesn't even look real. It's painfully obvious that they're faking. Which I consider an insult to me as the audience.

It's no different from the way a play works. I guess plays insult the audience too, right?

With a play it is understood that it's fake. They don't try to convince the audience that the events are actually happening.

Neither does wrestling. Granted, they used to, but that all stopped back in the 80s. Now everyone acknowledges that it's fake and watches it just because they find it entertaining.

I guess. But it still seems really cheesy to me. It's whatever though. To each his own.

it can be entertaining and unpredictable but everyone has different interests. i just hate people who dont respect the pain that these guys go through sometimes
