I hate how everytime someone says "goth" or "emo" someone looks in my direction. I wear all black cause I don't have to worry about matching, I like how it looks, and I'm a Johnny Cash fan. I don't cut myself, I do listen to metal, I only feel socially outcast because you assholes keep doing it OR you're an annoying douche that I wouldn't be able to be around for more then five minutes.

There's your angst and the cause of your problem

I'm just telling you the root of your problem, you can ignore it or not. To be socially accepted you can't have the "I'm better than everyone and hate all of you, but still can't figure out why you guys don't like me" attitude. Try to lighten up and be a fun loving energetic person, then people won't care how you dress.
I can relate with wearing black a lot also.
So far till this I've never been called emo or goth by it.
But by far the most thing they always say Are you going to a funeral?
My respond always is Yep maybe yours so time soon.
