ITT: Fandoms you can't stand (even if you like what it is they're fans of)
For me it's:
Bronies
Homestuck fans
Potterheads (I love Harry Potter, but the fans are the most pathetic and intolerant fans out there)
The MCRmy (all the cool people left and now there's only 12 year old horny weeaboos)
Gleeks (I hate Glee, but the fans are worse. Shipping everything, only listening to Glee covers, worshipping Darren Criss, etc.)

Adventure Time, and The Misfits.

I honestly can't say I dislike any particular fandom.

I do, however, dislike stupid people.

for instance, I don't dislike people who like justin bieber.

But the people who go out of their way to act like annoying fantards over him? sure, I'll dislike them, but only because they're acting like a stupid person, I don't blame the rest of the fans for their behavior.

Same thing with a group like furries, I've met many swell fellows in the furry fandom, as well as a lot of douche bags.

I'm a brony, and there are plenty of bronies who I dislike/disagree with because of their behavior, but many more who are good friends.

I just don't believe in generalizing, which, inherently, is a fallacy, the composition fallacy to be exact. There's no reason to generalize and to advocate hostility towards a group of people, unless you have some sort of underlining agenda.

The only reason I generalize is because all/the majority of the people belonging to a fandom that I have interacted with have acted in a certain way, and thus paint a picture of that fandom for me (whether it be negative or positive)
Of course there will be exceptions to the rule, but I simply do not have the time to meet everyone.

The reason why you only hear 12 year olds babbling on about MCR is because they've been around for 10 years. All their real fans are older and more mature now. I started listening to them 7 years ago myself.

I know, it's just as a seventeen year old who hates kids, a fandom of mostly 12 year olds is my worst nightmare.
I, for one, love MCR, it's just the fans that I have a problem with.

Well we're technically both fans then, aren't we? I know I am.

The younger people seem like the fan base because they're the loudest, they want attention. stupidity also stands out, it draws more attention.

There's quite a bit of generalisation there. I mean, not everybody in the fandom thinks the same.

I know it is, but isn't all hate towards any group of people a generalisation of some sort?

The MCRmy make me want to commit. And Beliebers are the worst.. did you know they call his penis the ''Bieberconda''? XD

Oh god, how did I forget to add in Beliebers and Directioners?
But yeah, the MCRmy are basically rock's Beliebers.

Admittedly, MCR aren't that bad.. maybe their new stuff is a bit crap but the older stuff is actually quite good! And they are flawless live, I saw them at Reading Fest '11 and it was amazing!
User avatar #5563 to #5562 - captaincabinet **User deleted account** (08/05/2012) [-]
Yeah, I do like MCR, and I saw them at Reading too! They were one of the best acts of the whole weekend apart from Muse's performance

Dude, I don't even LIKE Bring Me The Horizon, yet I had the time of my life at their performance! You'll get no red thumbs from me.
