Battlefield 1942 games with 64 people, or those modded to take 128. Those were the ******* games, man. Quick-respawning vehicles and quick player respawn. If both sides were evenly matched, thoser matches were just so much fun to play.

It's over a decade old, but this game is still just as fun as it was the first time I played it.

I really hate when people deny sequels that are actually better in terms of improvements because of nostalgia. Ya I know some games do go downhill but some sequels actually did a lot. Splinter Cell Blacklist comes to mind, where rabid fanboys freak and say that Chaos Theory was the pinnacle of stealth and can't be beat. Blacklist fixed clunky jumping and that god-awful mechanic where one enemy catches a small glimpse of you .5 seconds before you knock him out and everyone suddenly knows exactly where you are. That and a few other awkward controls, but every fan feels the need to screech at blacklist.

<- how SC fans tend to treat anyone else who plays who isn't playing Chaos Theory 100% stealth no gadgets with the controller up your ass.

The first game I bought and played on my own for my PS2 was Conflict: Desert Storm. It completely blew my mind. I thought it was the best damn thing since sliced bread and played through it at least a dozen times. Bad graphics or not, it's never lost its appeal.

Oh god, my dad and I used to have and play every single MoH game up to Vanguard released in 2007.
1. Medal of Honor
2. Medal of Honor: Underground
3. Medal of Honor: Rising Sun
4. Medal of Honor European Assault
5. medal of Honor Vanguard
I still remember the ever so satisfying sound of the MP-40. These games were my childhood and I wouldn't replace that for the world.
