I heard there is a part in the constitution that was rather confusing. SO congress has revamped it...."Of the People. By the People. For the People"....will now read......

Congress wanted no gray areas.

but if they all walk off the guy will land in a safety net and have all who walked away arrested because they pose a threat to " national security"

We're shutting down the government and then we're gonna use the government to shut down things that don't require the government so that we can show you how you need more government.

Way to go King Obongo

Well all the US Government is succeeding in doing right now is proving exactly how much the country doesn't need them to run fine.

They're just showing their electorate, whilst they hold their breath like 5 year olds because they're not getting what they want, that all they do is make promises to get elected, then sit around arguing about how much they should get paid.

Sooner or later the politicians hanging over the cliff are going to get so fat off the wealth of others that they're going to drag the whole thing down, with all those supporters in tow. We can only hope that the board snaps down the middle instead of turning into a giant catapult.

You know whats really ****** up?

Republican congressmen (primarily in the south) can redrawn their voter districts, so that instead of having a 50/50 party split, they redrawn it so the majority of the voters in their area are registered republicans, so they always get re-elected because they only run against democrats. which means, these basically permanent congressmen can do outrageous **** like shut down the government without fear of getting voted out of office.

tl;dr im moving to canada

Except that in many cases you need to swap them round, the politician is behind a crowd of heavily armed military/police and the citizens are at the end of the plank with either the cliff or a prison.

People definitely have power, but this cartoon is pretty ridiculous imo.

Everyone's all like: "I don't want to live in this country anymore."

But I'm like: "I like this country, YOU leave!"

except Congress is invincible behind the constitution. Congress is what is wrong with the American Government, but there is no way to get rid off all of them and bring in people who don't care about their loyalty to a pointless political party. Congress members should want what is best for this country
