For what it is, it's alright. "Godzilla" though barely resembled his Japanese counterpart, which is what annoyed so many people.
He didn't breath fire, normal missiles were enough to kill him and he looked like a T-rex.
He also was alone, there weren't any other monsters to fight, which personally I found very annoying.

I didn't mind the lack of monsters for him to fight actually. The first Godzilla film was just him, and you only see him near mid and end movie.

I can see how you think that, but I'll have to disagree (respectfully of course).

IMO, the movie was boring, they tried to fill it in with senseless stuff like this love story between the chick and Niko Padapopopopalspasaos. Also, the eggs **** really made me angry, like they hatched into little velociraptors and it just ruins the movie.

Also he gets killed. Yeah, the army shot him down! The old godzilla could breathe fire and **** **** up but they made this godzilla into a wimp. They focused more on the humans and the happy hollywood ending than on the monster itself.

Because when you've grown up or seen the original Godzilla, the 1998 was incredibly eh. It wasn't even Godzilla anymore. It was more of Tyrannosaurus with spikes that breathed atomic breath.

In other words, they changed it too much that it wasn't even Godzilla anymore. Not bashing on it too much. Although I admit I didn't like the movie, it was still alright in it's own way.

If I remember correctly, the name of monster from the American one was changed to "Zilla" in Japan, because TOHO was so dissatisfied with it that they took the "God" away from his name. Old godzilla fights him in Final Wars.

I know. I'm a very big fan of Godzilla, not the crazy obsessed kind, but I know my stuff. Some people don't know about the name change so for conversation's sake I just call it Godzilla 1998 or American Godzilla. Also, it was in Final Wars. The "original" Godzilla slapped it with his tail and sent it flying into the, I believe it's called, Sydney Opera House.

Because Ancalagon would probably easily swallow all these, eat some Pacific-Rim-Kaiju as desert and use the Shenlong as dental floss Ignoring magic and all that mumbojumbo because I don´t know to much about the other series. , soooooooo... it´s probably not fair.

Question: Is there a way to calculate Acalagon's actual size? As far as height and potential wing span I mean. I read on the LOTR wiki that he was the largest dragon ever lived and his size was and I quote from the wiki "Gigantic". Some forums said that "Godzilla sized" (I'm assuming 2014 Godzilla) isn't enough to measure Ancalagon's size.

Not really, no.

There is very, very few known about Ancalagon - you see, Ancalagon is from the Silmarillion, which is more of a history textbook or a religious text at some parts...there aren´t too many novel-ish descriptions in there.
The only things known are that when he was finally slain, his downfall destroyed the Thangorodrim. From what we can read in the Books, the Thangorodrim is a three-topped mountain with (probably) a height of 35.000 feet and a diameter of 5 miles.
Considering that the only thing that Tolkien wrote about Dragonmagic was the power of deception, we can probably be sure that the mountains were destroyed purely by his height and weight - so that makes Ancalagon big enough to - in real life terms - destroy the ******* Mount Everest by simply falling on it. That´s pretty damn big if you ask me.D

Haven't heard of anything like that. I don't think anyone has mentioned it to me, so no, I don't beleive anyone stated that.
