Eh your other senses do get better because of plasticity in the brain. Regions which were for example dedicated to vision in the occipital lobe can become entirely dedicated to another sense if you become blind at a later stage.

And if you cut off your arm, your other arm would be considerably stronger to make up for it.

And why people with a high sense of humour have no sense of when to keep their mouth shut.

Its more that you can focus more on the other senses than it is that your senses get better. Like how its easier to listen to something when you close your eyes.

Meh, it really depends on what your idea of a sense of humor is. I don't find "tard" stories or jokes remotely funny. But the entirety of 4chan would probably tell me to get a sense of humor/

this actually isn't true

a blind person hears just as well as a seeing person
the difference is that they listen more because they rely on their sense of hearing more.
we could hear anything a blind person could equally

Areas of your brain can actually be re-purposed after their primary use is lost.

My new sense

No that's not right, the description. The part of the brain responsible for sight, in a blind person, is taken over and used by the sense of touch. That's why its easier for blind people to read braille. When you observe a blind person reading braille, their visual cortex is active, just like if they were to read it with their eyes.

Ricky Gervais has the biggest ego but he's still funny (well to me anyway). I can most probably name more examples and so I can't really agree with this post
