I'm typically not one to judge a book by its cover, but...

I'm even more excited about there no longer being a need for 20% of the current police force. That's pretty much the entire reason that a good number of cops have jobs now. I grew up in a dry county (A place where it is illegal to sell or make alcohol) and when it came time to vote on weather or not we would continue to be a dry county two kinds of people always showed up to advocate for keeping us dry. The politicians, and the bootleggers. They both rely on each other to keep themselves in a job.

if i'm not arguing against your point, then why are you arguing against mine? That's the most retarded thing I have ever heard

"I agree with you, but this is why you are wrong"

How ******* stupid is that?

If the point of the first post was that you were a fan, would it not have been better to ******* say that?

Oh, this content again.

In Canada, hemp is LEGAL. My mom puts it on her cereal for protein, you can buy a license that needs to be renewed every 6 months in order to grow it, you can make plant fibers yourself out of it, you can ******* use it. It's ******* legal.

Marijuana =/= hemp.

Just look this **** up god ******* damnit.

in poor countries without the hipster stoner faggots it is just another plant like aloe, with some medicinal purposes but usually it's just a plant. It grows on the roadside and is readily available for anyone who wants it
It's not the plant that's the problem, it's the faggots who abuse it

Yes I cant wait for you to see that modern science has surpassed the need to make clothes/medicine out of ******* pot.

Your "le 420 blaze it feggut" is not going to kill cancer like chemo.

Here's the thing, hemp is good at a lot of things but great at very few:

It's **** for textiles. It's not very soft, it's hard to weave, and it's not nearly as strong as synthetic fibers. The reason hemp fabric died out is because cotton kicked its ass up and down the street, not any government conspiracy (basically the same thing happened with hemp paper).

See above section for durable goods.

It's an okay biofuel, but there are many that are much better. It does have a high lipid content, which is the basis for next-gen biofuels, but not nearly as much as algae-based fuels. It also has a relatively low sugar content, which means it won't be great for ethanol, which is the most prevalent current biofuel.

As far as soil remediation, again there are much better sources. Legumes in particular are a much better option, especially when used in conjunction with other key vegetables (3 Sisters method) and these produce also food while repairing the soil. Anyway, most modern-day soil remediation is done chemically, not biologically, because it's much more effective.

Where it does shine is it's medical potential. I'm not going to bother listing it's uses, I assume most of y'all are already somewhat familiar with many of them.

The point is, we live in an age of specialization and cannabis is not a specialized product. If I were into the whole prepping thing, it'd be my go-to crop because it is so versatile. But I don't, I live in present day America where we're trying our damnedest to eek out every little fraction of progress and that requires specialization. That said, there are some specialized areas where cannabis has great potential. I have no problem if people want to legalize pot, I do myself, but it's far from the miracle plant it's touted as by NORML.
