I like WalMart. They have good prices. People who I've met seem to think it's a decent enough job. If you don't like it there, don't work there. You should be happy that they gave your apparently un-hirable ass a job. I don't see any more land whales at Wal-Mart than I do other stores.

Wal-Mart is a big box store that moves in and ruins small locally owned and operated businesses with lower prices they can afford because because their products are made by outsourcing jobs to third world countries, essentially using slave/and or child labor. Thats usually why people don't like Wal-Mart

They also jack up the prices on their own healthcare coverage in order to force employees to switch to insurance companies outside of Wal-Mart in order to save money.

I tend to think that's the opposite, anon. Where I live, we have two of the alleged biggest Wal-Mart stores in the U.S. I have not seen Wal-Mart shut down any locally owned businesses, big or small. If anything, Wal-Mart usually draws in other stores and developers to move in around them. Everytime a Wal-Mart seems to move into the neighborhood, it seems the surround area gets fixed up beautifully (including roads) with new stores and new jobs created.
Not only that, but I think the competition Wal-Mart creates is healthy. There is a local multi-million dollar grocery store food chain near where I live that use to charge very high prices taking advantage of consumers until Wal-Mart moved in across the street.

Maybe that's not the case everywhere else in the country, but like I said they have two of the biggest wal-mart stores where I live, and there is a third regular sized one closer to the city that also improved business around it. Wal-Mart seems to show other businesses where it safe to open new stores and restaurants because they draw in huge crowds and customers.
I do agree, though, that they hire offshore (which I hate) and they are slightly monopolistic. I always fear of them becoming too big/powerful but I don't think that's possible now especially with online retailers like Amazon.

Yeah, I hadn't thought about that. ******** is somewhat popular, but not so popular that everyone would know about it, so an explanation of it would probably be a good idea.
