What's with crap like this? These people are professional murderers who don't deserve the respect.
arguing on the internet is like competing in the special olympics. even if you win, you're still retarded. but i might as well tell you my take on this- it's disgusting to call these people "professional murderers" as they risk everything to fight for a cause and serve the nation in a horrible area of the world. but i have to point out that the war in Iraq is totally corrupt and unnecessary, we could have done without the war in Afghanistan, innocent civilians will indeed always get killed by troops from both sides, and it's unrealistic to say that the army is "defending our freedom" -- an extremist terrorist group won't exactly invade the world's most powerful fucking nation, except of course for the one time freak event of 9/11.
rule one in the military you asshole is not to fire unless fired apon so they are defending not only themselves but the people who get caught up in wars like this go hang yourself you asshole you dont deserve the rights that they protect
Dude they are trained to kill to keep the other fuckin countries from bombing us or raiding our homes and killing our famliys. Their risking their lives to keep people with big ass guns from standing on your front lawn
We're not murderers. I want you to read this http://funnyjunk.com/funny_pictures/68945/Give+the+Respect/ . If anything, you should be thanking us Marines for what we do. I don't want to see other soldiers coming back and being treated like they were when they came home from Vietnam.
They do. The piece of shit Bush government doesn't deserve it. The soldiers perform orders. Some of them are fucked up and do crazy shit that trash our PR over there, but you are just an inconsiderate bastard that has no feelings/respect for the people who defend your right to make such an absurd comment.
Okay bitch, listen up. These guys spend years in the hot fucking desert getting sand in their eyes, barely any contact with family, fighting a war against a terrorist group just so you can see tomorrow and not have to worry about getting shot right in front of your house. Plus bitch, its not murder if they are shooting back.

Dude, the American people ASKED Bush to start the war. We WANTED it to happen. 9/11 upset the public more than you can imagine. More money was donated in the aftermath of 9/11 than any other period of the United States' existence. People enlist in the military of their own free will. THEY SIGNED UP FOR IT ON THEIR OWN. They know the risks, and yet they fight. Don't even question why they are there.
I see it like this: We live in a great place where anyone can say whatever the hell they want about the military. But remember its that military that gave you the right to do that. So, you are not doing anything "wrong" by saying what you want, but, you are being extremely disrespectful. It's like your parents giving you the best present ever and then you throw it back in their faces.
Why would you delete all of my comments?
what about ReapFreak who said "What's with crap like this? These people are professional murderers who don't deserve the respect."
Also you do not see me as anything, you may believe it's idiotic but i am just curious

Well because, Al Qaeda is like a disease, you have to stop terrorists before they become too strong. Same thing with Pearl Harbor, they destroy our biggest naval base in the Pacific, and if we didnt fight back, we would have had to fight WWII in America. Basically, we are sending our brave soldiers over so we dont have to worry about terrorists. Plus because we are over there, Baghdad is the safest airport in the world right now, and people can finally send their kids outside.
Alright now i know that many people dont have the stomach for civilian casualties but in reality its how we won the war, now im not saying that its appropriate for this war, but it was appropriate for world war 2, it was a full out war, they were fanatics who would jump off cliffs rather than be captured by the americans, so if we wanted to win the war we had to bring them down to their knees by nuking them, it was either them or us and i was glad it was them

The loss of innocent lives is always sad, but better them than us. If we invaded Japan, then we would have lost as many men as they did with our bombs. It's their own fault for not surrendering in the first place. If anything, you should be mad at politicians, and sorry for the soldiers.
People say that, but they really have no idea how deeply invested we are with every country in the world. Do you know what the first thing that would have happened had we "minded our own business?" First, Israel would fall and be taken over by a hostile country, since Israel is probably our best ally that we constantly need to protect, since it is a country literally filled with oil and religious sacred grounds. The danger is intensified by the fact that they are SURROUNDED by enemy territories. The warfare that would come from us leaving would be far worse for the entire planet then what is happening now. It's not like I have enough room to completely explain the chain of events, but short version: NOT GOOD.
Apparently you don't know the meaning of Curiosity. You tell me my country is wrong for defending itself, you tell me we are wrong for a retaliation of 9/11. You tell me that my ex-commander in chief is wrong for sending over soldiers. Has anymore god damn planes crashed into buildings that big since?
I reiterate, this thread makes me sick. You make me sick. Without us, where would you be? Would you want to be in a place like Uganda, where the military kills their own? Or would you want people to fight for the freedom of a country. I know people who have died, but they died protecting what they love. Obviously, you would not want to give your life for the sake of your own country. Killing happens, death happens. Shit happens.
Yes, everything happens for a reason. If you ever, with the smallest chance, find yourself in the military, (best quote ever) "Once you accept the fact, that you are already dead, you will function like a soldier. No mercy, no compassion." Maybe then you will understand the justification of killing. Picking of these towel heads one by one means there is less of a chance that we will be attacked. What's one life for hundreds?
Ohhh touch'e, you stopped me from replying to that next one. I'll just leave off with one last thing; Offensive or not I rest by it. And next time I'm about to hit one of those terrorists in between the eyes, I'll be sure to carve your user name right into the side of my 5.56 bullet. I don't like you, but everyone is entitled to their opinion. I'm just going to remember yours cleaning up the gore and finding the shell casing. Justified.
Quit being a little bitch. I have to hand it to PTTN. He fucking owned you. Two of my cousins are marines. I lived with one of them. He doesn't fuck around either. If he doesn't like something he does something about it. From what I've seen thats something being a marine is about. Doing it right and getting shit done. Killing to be free is justifiable. You are as stated by PTTN an "adolescent little queer". Now GTFO.

We are a world power. People in Afghanistan asked us to help them. We didn't ask to be bombed. People in England didn't asked to be bombed. People all over the world aren't asking for these terrorists. If we could, we wouldn't even have gone there in the first place. Terrorists don't understand "compromise". They understand "STRENGTH".
Our society is a brilliant one, we have free thinking minds bringing you new technologies and new renovations day after day, the troops we send out to keep peace are the same men and women that help keep these brilliant minds safe at work, if you make an injustifable argument about black people, you are a racist, but really, show some goddamn respect, these people risk every second of time they spend outside with about twenty pounds of equipment stuck on them, and they do it so you can sit in front of your computer, right now, to try to think of a witty response, which will inevitably come
non hostility is an impossible objective. As long as any difference separates two thoughts a compromise is impossible unless one of the groups is yielding.
Humanity is not perfect and never shall be. All thought does not point towards one goal. One man may dream of peace but another may dream of power and you cannot control what somebody may think. You may however change what he thinks. And on a greater thought, what is perfection and how would you justify it?

That is part of perfection, and I quote "As long as there is emotion, there shall always be hatred, as long as there is hatred, there is war, as long as there is war, there is no peace"
If you wanted no hostility, ask all the people in the world to drop religion, drop science, drop all their opinions and become similar minded sheep and follow someone

just answer me this one question,
say you were arguing with some guy and all of the sudden he punches you square in the face, knocking you to the ground. Your friend (pretending, of course, that you actually have one) steps in and starts beating his ass. His friends join in and so do more of yours. next thing you know both of your friends are going at it.
Would you be angry at your friends for fighting? Would you disagree with the reasoning and say that it was hostility without cause?
Just because the attack wasn't on you directly and just because you can't see the threat as clearly as in the example above doesn't mean that it isn't there and that the soldiers fighting aren't defending and protecting you just as much.

We attacked Afghanistan for a reason, the thousands of lives America lost on that day angered too many, their emotions tore through their simple clothing of flesh, and they gnashed their teeth and roared at the government to strike back, the wars were caused by one feud or another, one religion disagreement or another, look at the Crusades, they were caused by ignorant knights who thought the Jews were uncivilized, hell, look at WWII, Hitler started killing people because he hated just one race, and his dreams of "perfection"
Perfection is not realistic. Ask 100 people what they think the meaning of life is and I promise you will get a different answer from every person no matter how much they sound alike they picture it differently than any other. The human mind is unique to every person and nothing could truly unify a justifiable belief. This goes for religion, scientific and equivalent belief.
