the question is could this work? due to the speed of light and calculations (being simplefied so we don't have dickheads going qq) you would be staring at the exact location predicted only 2 light years after wich would be the same time you started

In simple theory, yes. In a bit more advanced, no. It'd take us some time to be able to even see the mirror, but when you finally could, it'd allow you to see the Earth at the time and after you placed it into space.
Actually, a light year is 6 trillion (6,000,000,000) miles long. The speed of light is 670,616,629.38 mph. It would take 8.5 hours. To hit the mirror. 17 hours, before you could look 17 hours in the past. It takes about 8.5 hours. Not exact.
