Thing is, most of those stoner comics were made by dumbass 12 year old who think its cool and have never even done it. Weed doesn't make you hallucinate and see monsters -.-
And the fact that they were so popular just proved how many wanna be rebels are thumbing it up. Hardly anything in those comics portray what happens when you get high.
