FUN FACT TIME!
The red ghost was originally named Oikake which translates to chaser. Its function in the game was to just follow Pacman everywhere he went. His name in America is Blinky.
The pink ghost was originally named Machibuse which translates to ambusher. This bastard would chase you until and take turns behind you to come around in order to sammich you in between another ghost. His name in America is Pinky.
The cyan ghost was originally named Kimagure which translates to fickle. This guy wasnt quite sure of himself and would change directions suddenly. His name in America is Inky.
The orange ghost was origanlly named Otoboke which translates to stupid. This guy moved slow and had no idea what he was doing. His name in American Clyde
