No that was actually a masterpiece of an album. They didn't change their sound hardly at all, thats just bullshit information critics and HaRdC0r3 F4nz like to throw around. However everyone just decided to like Green Day after American Idiot and after they adopted the Goth look. I do really miss the classic Green Day from the "Dookie" days though.

to each his own i guess. I just liked their "punk" sound better from Dookie and Nimrod.

I know what you mean but they still are punk. Just a little less heavy. Their new album, however is kinda meh.

yeah i really hate their new album. atleast American Idiot had some good songs. This new one is just, as you said it, meh.
