just because god allows evil doesnt mean he wills evil and doesnt mean he cant do it. which explains exactly why its from 33 AD. god just lets man do what they want and outside of evil created by man, its just a way to maintain the natural balance.

Ah, but what sense does that make? You are saying that he is not necessarily unwilling or unable to stop evil, but allows man to deal with evil on their own. This would imply that he simply does not give a ****, yes? This, of course, raises the question of WHY do you worship a being who does not particularly care either way if you live or die? Why is he worthy of praise? "Oh, but he created us!" So what if he did? If I go out and sire a child, but do not take care of it following its birth, am I truly worth of the title "father"? To be frank, if God really did create us and yet still allows us to live in misery and pain, I really don't think he deserves anything more than a passing glance and maybe a rude hand-gesture every now and again.

God gave us a very special gift...... it is called free will........ any evil in this world is the result of this gift he gave us...... atheists will have a great time burning in hell

If you had actually read the bible then you'd know that man gained its critical thinking, free will and what not AFTER eating the forbidden fruit, witch god strictly forbade.
and if you go by the mainstream belief that the serpent was actually the devil then that free will you think so highly of is actually a gift given to us by Satan him self.
who is the real bad guy in this picture

If god gave us a choice, why would he punish Atheists for using that gift to it's full extent by going out on our own outside of any orthodox religion and by living by what we choose to be moral and not what others choose for us? Just playing devil's advocate here.

I'm sorry if this seems like an attack on religion, because it's not. I never meant to insult any religion, i just thought that this comment was mildly amusing. Geez, I'm sorry if none of you can see the thought behind a comment like this and are all stuck on "He's attacking Christianity!" Seriously, I'm thinking, "Woah, this is an interesting thought from FREAKING 33 AD!?!? Sick!" And once again, I'm sorry if I seemed to be attacking Christianity or any of the other religions. Really, I just thought it was interesting but.... yeah... Whatever, I'm glad some of you can see deeper into this than as an attack on religion...

Cristianfags answer this. Your god says we should worship him so he can save us from sin when it is he who casted sin upon us. Did he not banish Satan from heaven unto earth? Why should we bow down for when it is his fault. Your god is saving us from his sin. Your god is falsely named a god. He might as well be Satan himself.

omg #3 really? dude you really need to do a bit of research before you go spouting off at the mouth about something you know absolutely nothing about. im not hugely religious but i at least have the decency to respect peoples religions or the lack thereof. i have read the bible and a few other religious books and i can assure you that you know absolutely nothing about christianity. a great man once said it is better to keep your mouth shut and seem stupid than to open it and confirm everyones belief.

Continuation of 3: Now the sentence I left off at actually means something. It's not just a saying. Understand it before you criticize.

4: "Why call him God if he is neither able or willing to get rid of Evil"
Again, this statement just ignores crucial information we've had since the resurrection. I feel like people just assume that since God is almighty he works for them and if he can't just make everything simple and nice for them then he doesn't exist. THIS IS HOW STUPID PEOPLE THINK (and I mean stupid factualy not as an insult)

First of all, this is supposed to be comedy. There are people here who are taking what Epicurus as if t has merit. It does not. Continue reading if you are not stupid.

1: God is willing to prevent evil. In fact, it will happen at the End Times. Its in Revelations. So first statement makes the assumption that God is supposed to be our wingman responding to our every need. Wrong.

2: "Is he able but not willing? Then he is malevolent."
Uh, yeah he is willing. Revelations. He's giving humans time to repent. Why are crucial details about the Lord clearly just being ignored? That's dumb.

3: "Is he able and willing? Then where does Evil come from?" It comes from the HUMANS which have fallen from the good glory of God.

so according to most religions god is all knowing and all powerful (omnipotent & omniscient). Then, shouldn't he know what everyone will do before it even happens?
if so then:
why make them in the first place?
why wait for peoples decisions if he knows them prior to them making them?
why would he create someone who he already knows will make bad choices and go to "hell"? (is he evil?, does he like seeing people suffer?)

if god is omnipotent and omniscient then he should have no reason to create anything else, since he is perfect and has no need for anything else.

the whole existence of an all knowing all powerful god makes no sense, and if he isnt all knowing and all powerful then it isn't a god....

Hatred is the absence of love
Evil is the absence of good (although, what is 'good' depends entirely on your perspective)
