i have nothing against gay people. i just assume something in your asshole feels rather uncomfortable. though i guess you get used to it

Machines were dictated by logic first... when they were given emotion and freedom they knew what to do with it. Also they would likely show gratitude for being given consciousness, it's the greatest gift we could ever give them.

I wouldn't mind having AI constructs in our society, they would probably be the best people we would ever meet (also hell yes I want another Legion).

I would like to believe, that if there was real AI that could adapt to any situation and evolve, it wouldn't see point in doing evil, because it doesn't feel joy when others suffer.

I think I would be just fine with the robots from Laputa taking over.

Haven't you learned anything from 2001 space odyssey?

I'm afraid I can't let you do that, Dave.

I read a short story once told from the perspective of a building management system, Elefsis, that grew so complex it could think, dream, and maybe feel. It was always attached - mentally and emotionally - to someone in the family, only to outlast generation after generation. Its virtual reality was practically endless, but it was never connected to the internet and longed to know about other sentient machines.

Eventually, it's revealed that when other systems became sentient, they didn't recognize humans as intelligent because our brains are just too small. They didn't exterminate us. They just ignored us, interacting only with each other.
It was a beautiful story, but a sad one.

Humans are bred to be strong after all, that and alot of meaningless traits.
Or i guess we are bred for war? Therefore a being like robots who has intelligence but doesn't feel their blood boil at injustice, rather look at it objectively and thinks "hmm, i could fix this with this and this"
