Are you retarded?

That is a neonate Brazilian Rainbow Boa. Major. ******* . Difference.

This is a gopher snake. (it is mine)

Oh look at that, you're right. I didn't see the shape of it's head. My gopher snake it's as gold as yours but still pretty cool. I can't show a picture sadly because I'm living in Spain and she's back in 'Merica. Anyways, my bad, thanks for correcting me!

Pretty colors and markings~
I have a ball python that is unusually yellow, yet is just a "normal" ball python. o3o

Looks "just normal" to me, I love how variable normals are. Some people don't understand how I can tell the difference between my normal hatchlings just by looking at them, I just find one piece of their marking or color that is unique to the rest, it's easy to me.

Also, you've just given me an excuse to show off my balls (pun intended). One of the clutches I hatched this year.

She's what most call a "Dinker", actually, but most consider her a Normal with "High Golds". She's only my second BP and sad to say, I was scammed into believing she was a Pastel because I'd never seen a Normal that bright or that yellow - turns out the person who had her was more of a snake than she is. I do have an average het pied also and his colors are noticeably different compared to hers.

Now, if you want mutation, I can send you the two snakes on the left of my picture (male pastel, female spider) for $230 shipped to your door ;) make your own bumblebees!

Haha, that's pretty cool but I'll have to pass. Ball pythons are kind of on the back burner; I'm working with wolfdogs at the moment. Thank you though~.

Picture is of the parents of the pup I will be getting in 2014 whom I recently put a deposit on. I love snakes, but wolfers are my favorites.

The thing about "dinkers" is that 99% of them have absolutely no genetic mutation going on. Genetic variation is much different from genetic mutation, and although your girl might pass on that reduced pattern, this is in no way a form of mutation. Your snake actually looks less dinker-like than many dinkers I have seen (I've seen literally thousands) that have proven normal. Of all the dinkers I have seen (again, thousands) I have only seen four turn out to be mutations or het for a recessive.

Breeders nowadays consider the word "dinker" as a bad word.

That's interesting - I threw her on You need to login to view this link just to get some opinions and I had dozens of people telling me she was a Normal, High-Gold Normal and Dinker. I'd never even heard the term before so many people were calling her that, and they seemed to know more of what they were doing than I did.

I'm by no means a major collector and I'm certainly no herp breeder; I was just getting into snakes after admiring them for most of my life and hoped to start off with something that might throw interesting hatchlings if I did decide to try breeding them as a hobby, but I didn't have much luck if I can't tell a pastel from a normal.

They're great little pets though, for sure; I've actually rescued three that wound up in crappy situations -- poor care, people forgetting to keep them at the right humidity so they have awful sheds, don't eat for nearly a year, forgot to give them water for weeks at a time, left their heat sources off so they were freezing and couldn't digest their food, the list goes on -- and just kept them in some proper enclosures until they were healthy and eating well again, then advertised them for a while until I found responsible homes for them.

I'm not concerned with having the very best or most expensive; honestly I think it's ******* insane to see people slap a $30,000 price tag on a fancy-colored snake (and still insist on feeding it live food; go figure) but I do really like my little guys.
My first one is just a little $20 guy but I adore him all the same, he's a real sweetheart for a reptile, I know a lot of people who would be better off if they took lessons from how good-natured he is.

Thanks a bunch for the wealth of information, I'm impressed and you've got some gorgeous babies there also. c:

reminds me of a glitch in dmc 5. for one of the scenes, dante's face was permeated by something that looked like a snake

But I hear that's dangerous and can give you cancer. So I think I'll stay safely on here for now.
