Also, they dont just.. PRODUCE oxygen, they just separate it from carbon dioxide

Following that logic nothing produces anything, merely changes it from one state to another. Which is actually a reasonable idea, but to pull someone up on it is arguing semantics...

This is 5th grade physics. nothing is produced, only changed.

Still arguing semantics. It could be said that the human body takes in carbon and oxygen and produces carbon dioxide while trees take in carbon dioxide, water and sunlight, and produces oxygen and sugars. In each process no matter is created, but the new form can still be said to have been produced.

Thats more a grammatical change, but when people say PRODUCE, they most of the time take it literrally, that is why I mentioned that they dont PRODUCE, instead, they SEPARATE. but if you know the difference you can also use produce

Turns out we are having a genuine semantic dispute. By definition, I might add.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semantic_dispute

Also, you should utilize the italics in order to emphasize words on this site since it lets you use them. Using caps to stress a word makes you look like you have tourettes.

I'm pretty sure it's meant to be calling you stupid.
I.e: you should apologise because you're essentially wasting the oxygen that somebody else could use.

somewhere out there, there are people who work in dildo factories making batch after batch of brightly colored rubber schlongs just for op... who promptly shoves them into his abyss-like rectum, never to be seen again. i think he owes THEM an apology

Plants don't produce oxygen for others, they excrete is as a waste product of photosynthesis. The atmosphere has been transformed by algae farts, the original climate change.

you didn't choose to be born, how, when or where. therefore you owe nothing to a ******* tree. and by the way, that tree also needs some things to live it should be grateful for (sun, water).

there're plenty of things we should be grateful for and which make us responsible but there's no need to burden yorself with unnecessary things.

You forgot to add that we convert that oxygen into CO2 which a vital part of that trees ability to make food and return O2

But how do we owe them apologies. They would produce it with or with out people so why should I feel bad I'm using it.

I think he was calling someone a waste of oxygen. At least that's my guess, I haven't watched as much House as someone who isn't indifferent to it.

I love that line and I might save the gif if it was better quality. It didn't seem to survive Fj resizing it.

Truth be told it isn't particularly high quality to begin with. And for that I apologize.
