No we use one of theses. Heats the water twice as fast, it waste more energy, and sounds like a mini aircraft taking off as it warms up. 'Murica!!!!

I will never forget this story for the remainder of my life. Be warned, 'Muricans, it makes us look retarded.

I worked with a few British guys in the middle east for a while with a private company. One of my British friends and I were in line at a chow hall to get some dinner when a young Army private heard his accent and started asking him questions about England and whatnot. Pretty innocent questions; weather, sports, countryside, things of that nature. The date is July 3rd. The private looks my friend right in the eye and asks if they celebrated 4th of July over in England. I lost it.

Of course there are kettles.
But most of us have figured out it works just as well to use a sauce pan.

we just put the teabag in a pot of water, then put it on the stove.

i dont have a kettle and my mom makes tea all the time, all she does is boil water in a pot, take it off the burner, put the teabags in, after a while you have tea

We have them, but most people in America boil water in a pot and put teabags in a cup. That's how I used to do it before I got a tea-maker. We do that because we have "iced tea", and we don't honestly value tea as anything but a "I don't want water, and I don't want soda" sort of deal.
