In the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen. People are actually getting financial compensation for the city being noisy.

And in my hometown. Whiny neighbors to the towns only football field, complained that the sound of children kicking a football around, was too much for their fragile ears to bear.
They ******* won, and now the stadium is completely empty.
Football practice has been moved to another town.

In all honesty, I partially agree with "Norman". They should phonically isolate the place not just for Norman, but for all their sleepless neighbors. If they've been in the business for 20 years, it means that they can afford it.

******* this. In my home town an apartment building was built in the middle of downtown. It was pretty much filled with stuck up old rich people that had nothing better to do than to complain about the music at 8 on a saturday night. My band and I had the cops called on us multiple times and even though the restaurants that play music had been there 50 years before the apartment building, the cops sided with the rich people. The rule for playing amplified music outside was apparently that it could not exceed 70 decibels, so one night the cops came out with a decibel meter and the sound of the city (without us playing at all) was 75. ******* ******** .

I had relatives that lived about a mile from an airport. They regularly bitched about the noise. They didn't take kindly to me telling them, "You've lived near that airport for twenty damn years. If it bothers you that much MOVE ALREADY!"
#60 - anonymous (09/26/2013) [-]
as someone in a fraternity, its the same thing when people move in close to one, and then call in noise complaints for every party we have

>we've literally been playing for 6-7 years
>threaten to take church to court for doing something church's do (play music)

In my little town we used to have several pubs, on fridays we all got together and party hard 'till dawn.. but my little town is full of Normans! They got old and now all they want is some peace and quiet. The young Norman who got ********* drunk every weekend turned into a grumpy old man who calls the police whenever there's people on the street..
So.. nowadays, almost all the pubs are closed, and the few open ones are always visited by the police because of complaints..
Goddamnit Norman!

Yeah, Norman's a dickhead. But this guy is even more of one.
