I don't understand why people say that all music was better 50 years ago.

However, I completely understand how people say that music from 50 years ago is better PERFORMED LIVE 50 years later, and better stands the test of time.

ACDC can still play, Rush is ******* EPIC live, hell the ******* Beach Boys still tour.
But do you really think that 50 years from now we will be able to go see Kendrick Lamar, Lil' Wayne, or Kid Cudi live? Or maybe the Black Eyed Peas reunion tour? That **** would suck, if it even happened, but I highly doubt it would.

especially since most of the popular music now entirely focuses on being young and doing fun **** all the time. Nobody wants to see You need to login to view this link talking about "lets get it started" while he's in adult diapers

you realize that the chart toppers back then weren't entirely all the cool bands' best songs right? There was a lot of catchy **** back then too, we just know of all the good stuff because that's what survives through the generations.
There's still good artists today, I would definitely see a Modest Mouse, Coldplay, or Black Keys concert 50 years from now. And those are popular bands, there's a ton more.
