Like and dislike are all subjective and vary from person to person. One should not be bashed for liking something unusual, since it's subjective.

Objectively, though, the UK version has far better production quality, writing and crew, so you're objectively wrong, making it ok to lynch you. Nothing personal, really.

Come on, man. That is absolutely not true, and I'm American.

The best I can say is that the American version is getting better, and is now watchable, but is in no way approaching the REAL Top Gear in cleverness, originality, or crazy stunts.

For god's sake, man, they found the f'in source of the Nile!

Are you high?
User avatar #89 to #88 - thatscrewedupkid (09/24/2013) [-]
no, i just prefer the us one because they dont sit around and talk. they do outrageous things with everyday cars. hell they used farm equipment for an episode. i dont like the dumb smallest car ever, i dont care for the new 5 million dollar super car that i will never afford. let me see what a lincoln towncar can do when you take it off road
User avatar #90 to #89 - mymiddleleg (09/24/2013) [-]
They do outrageous stuff on the original top gear aswell, plus they dont just sit around and talk plus its a show about cars not who can make the silliest thing on wheels
User avatar #91 to #90 - thatscrewedupkid (09/24/2013) [-]
outrageous cars i will never afford. US top gear i could probably afford most vehicles on the show. they take normal street cars basic modifications at most and do challenges with them
User avatar #93 to #91 - mymiddleleg (09/24/2013) [-]
They do that on the original top gear aswell, its not all super cars at least watch the original before commenting on it

User avatar #83 to #82 - kingofdogs (09/24/2013) [-]
They are english, them sitting around and talking is the most entertaining.

i like US one because they do wacky things like home made "convertibles" in alaska. or taking sedans off roading
User avatar #92 to #84 - dedaluminus (09/24/2013) [-]
Hmm. Making a home-made convertible? Sounds like Top Gear UK Series 12. Offroading sedans? Sounds like the Top Gear UK Middle East special, and the Africa special. Using farm equipment for crazy **** ? Sounds like the episodes where they tried to grow biodiesel with three huge tractors, and turned a combine harvester into a plow and gravel spreader (with attached flamethrower.)
Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but not their own facts. And the fact is, that everything the US Top Gear has done, UK Top Gear has done before, and better.
User avatar #94 to #92 - thatscrewedupkid (09/24/2013) [-]
the tractor one included a race through an obstacle course with a trailer, a hauling competition and i forgot the other one. and for some reason some british terms i cant stand. for example the word bonnet, its a ******* hood. and petrol, no its ******* fuel.
#132 to #94 - cursedman (09/24/2013) [-]
the fact that the american language is basterised english means english terms are right. stop bitching, you know what they mean, so deal with it.
User avatar #108 to #94 - mymiddleleg (09/24/2013) [-]
It is actually petrol only americans call it gas or gasoline , Fuels are any materials that store potential energy and if im not mistaken dont americans call it gas or gasoline not fuel
User avatar #146 to #108 - thatscrewedupkid (09/25/2013) [-]
i say either fuel or gas
User avatar #97 to #94 - dedaluminus (09/24/2013) [-]
Oh noes, there's different terms for things!
User avatar #98 to #97 - thatscrewedupkid (09/24/2013) [-]
it just bothers the hell out of me, no clue why, but i just cant ******* stand it.
User avatar #85 to #84 - kingofdogs (09/24/2013) [-]
Do they put guns on them?
User avatar #86 to #85 - thatscrewedupkid (09/24/2013) [-]

User avatar #87 to #86 - kingofdogs (09/24/2013) [-]
