In Canada (at least where I am), we have both primary and elementary.
Primary is K-3, elementary is 3-6. Jr. High is then 7-9 and Highschool is 10-12.

In my part of Canada, High school is called Secondary 1-5 (Grades 7-11) Then we have CEGEP for 2-3 years. Then we start University! Yay french Canada!

As for elementary, all I have was pre-kindergarden, kindergarden then grades 1-6

My older brother is now in University and he told me CEGEP helped him get used to the idea of University. We call it college even though it really isn't. But yeah, i think it's a somewhat good idea, because that way we don't have that crazy shock from high school to university.

its an alright idea, half the classes are just there to bust your nuts though.
they're actually there to broaden your horizons and give you credits in case you decide to follow another program in university
