While we are on the topic of downloading music, I just would like to add that I have tons of music that I would like to download to my iPod but I don't have any money to buy any music. I have about 300 songs on my iPod right now, they were all downloaded on my other computer off of various websites on the internet. My large amounts of music downloading caused my computer to get a virus and it subsequently died, despite my valiant attempts to try and save it.
I don't want to put viruses on my new computer, but like I said I don't have any money to buy all the music I want. Also, I must add that I am a complete nub when it comes to torrenting and stuff. Yeah you can laugh at me. What do I do?

If you have a lot of time on your hands fine whatever songs you want on youtube and use an mp3 converter like this one www.youtube-mp3.org/.

i use VMware with ubuntu and then transfer only the music to my main desktop via dropbox. viruses only stay on my Virtual box, and my main desktop has all the music. (plus i warn against RAR files, they download fast, but are very sketchy.
