Even though I posted that before..

If Bill Gates drops a
bill, it literally is not
worth his time to stop
walking and pick it up.
Bill Gates doesn' t contribute Over a second
of value tn his company, that' s simply his share of
the profits from his business/ investments, it
would be worth his Time to pick it up,
That brings up an interesting point though,
You knever what he' d do with that money? Donate it
to his foundation, Bill Gates has already donated
Bagillion dollars to his foundation the Bill 3:
Melinda Gates Foundation, he plans tn donate ffi?,/ i,
of his wealth to charity
I can understand wanting 33-’ . _
that I have lo tell you,

If Bill Gates donated 95% of his wealth to charity, he would still be a multi-billionaire. 5% of $72 bil = $3.6 bil

I mean, god damn.

think about it this way, it's not like while he's picking it up he stops earning money. No matter what it's always going to be worth it.

for arguments sake say you have no money at all, but then you suddenly make 100$ a second. And you drop one hundred dollars within that second, putting you at 0$.
During the one second it takes for you to pick it back up, you make $100, and picking it up puts you at $200.

Not picking it up leaves you at $100 over the span of 2 seconds, where picking it back up leaves you at $200 over 2 seconds. The same as it would have been if you hadn't dropped it at all.

TL;DR, not picking it up will always leave you with $100 less cash, no matter what. So it's always worth your time.

No, because the amount of interest he earns on his money in the bank, even though it only rolls over every 6 months, figure this, 60 billion with an interest rate of around 8%, that's $4.8 billion dollars every six months. You figure 4.8 billion divided by 182, you get something around $26,000 per day. If you were to break that down to how much he makes an hour just off interest alone (not even including his share fro his stocks) he'd be making $1100 per hour, leaving him at $18.05 per minute, making $100 dollars every 5 1/2 minutes and at that point, is not even worth it to stop an pick up a hundred dollar bill that he dropped.

But it's not because of the investment of that time that he makes the money. So bending over to pick up the dollar causes him no loss of profit.

Bill gates may have given away 28 billion dollars, but his value goes up by that much every 18 months. also if he donated 95% of his wealth to charity he would bankrupt Microsoft selling their stock.

He should give his money to the most productive members of society.

the calculation for that fact was based on if bill gates earned 40 billion in a year
User avatar #5 - thenordicsnowman (09/19/2013) [+] (4 replies)
this is true, but it is also a fact that he only donate money to the company's he has allot of stocks in, so he basically just gives money to himself again.

Bill Gates does not have $72B in his bank, thats everything he owns from jets to his shares in Microsoft. That being said I'm sure he still has billions in the bank, which is money I cant even imagine
