Hey dumb-ass lets look things up before we speak and read it all. You can donate PLASMA twice a week (he does it once a month). depending on how heavy you are dictates how much you can donate, I can donate 1.5L because I'm a light-weight. That means much more than 15 hectolitres (You don't know what hecto means) of plasma as he looks like a heavier set kind of guy and he's donated over 1000 times. A ten pound baby has about 300 ml of blood about 55% of which is PLASMA which is 165 ml. now lets divide 15 hectolitres by 165 ml. Thats about 9090 babies REPLACING ALL of their plasma. Oh, no. thats a little short. BUT WAIT!!! Rhesus disease or Rh desease is treated with an injection of Rho(D) immune globulin which is administerd in 50 μg/ml doses and usually only 1 to 5 doses are used. But still isn't enough to save 2.2 mil babies. Last but not least. if you were to google the guy's name you would have figured out that his blood was used to create a vaccine. that does account for the babies. Now, let me ask you and everyone else a question. Why are you such a nihilist **** ? He may have not DIRECTLY saved the lives of those children but he did play a HUGE role in saving them and you just can't deny that.

Wow, thanks.
Now we know who to blame when the world population is at 12 billion and the global totalitarianistic government uses orbital lasers to cull us back to 1 billion.

Hes not a ******* hero hes a ******* asshole!
He is a big contributor to the overpopulation of this planet wich will eventually **** up the human order of things as we know it, one day ending all technology and going back to caveman like behavior.
What a ******* asshole!

No it doesn't. Blood volume is back up after 24 hours. Red blood cells take 4-8 weeks to fully recover on average, but if he's consistently being donating blood and adapted his diet it's perfectly feasible for him to be giving blood far more regularly.

Will he still be a hero if those 2.2 million kids grow up to be swagalicious faggots?
#112 to #104 - Hhman (09/19/2013) [-]
1,999,999 of them might be swagalicious faggots but there is always the chance that one might be cool. And that makes it worth it.

The plasma donation center told me I have the same antibody in my blood the first time I donated when they were set up at my school. The first time I went in to donate, this is what happened:

"Your protein levels are too low."
"What?"
"You lack *blah blah* beta-protein *blah blah* can't donate."
"Beta-protein, what? How is it low?"
"Well when did you last have breakfast."
"Right before I came in."
"When was it thoughh?"
***NOTE: Their introduction process takes about 4 hours before they draw blood just to test it***
"At around 8 or 9."
"That's why."
"The only reason it's been a couple hours, though, is because your paperwork takes 4 hours to complete! So you're essentially setting us up for failure unless we bring in food to eat in your waiting room."
"There's no food or drink in the waiting room..."
"What? I don- wait...you want my blood, why am I pushing this?"

The whole blood donating system can be ******* retarded sometimes, it's rediculous.

"If it's so rare, how come there's 2.2 million?"

he saved 2,2mil babies, the babies didn't have the antybody so they neeed them from this guy's blood.. the true question is:
if he gave blood for 1000times and saved 2,2mil lives (knowing that they can only take 0,5l max in 1 time), so babies got (1000times x 0,5l):2,2mil=0,00002272liters=0,002272ml for each baby?
i say either OP is a thumb whore or OP was misinformed.

I looked this up and realized that my O- blood might end up killing my baby if it wasn't for him. And I probably wouldn't be alive either as my mother has O+.

So thank you, mysterious old man with miracle blood.
