This person was offering to bring their own food to accommodate their diet, and was just asking perfectly reasonable questions about what food would be served there. They weren't shoving their beliefs down anyone's throat. Uninviting them was just rude.

My grand-mother is a Vegan because she don't like animal suffering.

But she isn't being picky and even last time I went to her home, she happely made ham and even tasted it to see if it was good for me.

I love you grandma

I'm a vegan because I just feel better when I don't eat meat.

I mean, I love animals and all, but bacon is ******* delicious. Nothing moral about it here. Just staying healthy.

Anyone going to point out that Vegan and Vegetarian aren't the same thing? "Vegan Problems" doesn't fit.

In reality, having a 'non-meat' side is a fair enough request if they are willing to do it. Because if someone hasn't eaten meat in years, eating anything cooked on the same grill as a meat product covers it in animal fat and you'd be puking chunks for the rest of the day because your body isn't used to it. I think though, that it's a bit much to ask and what most vegetarians/vegans would do in that situation is go "sorry, I don't eat meat" because what the **** does a non meat eater do at a BBQ?

Source: My brother is a veggie, and we've discussed it at length before. He turned down my sisters BBQ invitation for this reason.

There's a right way and a wrong way to be veggie. IMO, he does it right. His gf (also veggie) even cooked me sausages for breakfast last time I went and stayed at his place.

I dont get why the person having the BBQ or whatever, was being such a little bitch. Why ignore the person and then lie, you cuodlve just said, No I dont want you to bring ur veggies. Either eat meat or gtfo. Atleast then youre being honest, instead of being a little cunt.

I love how the whole excuse for veganism is "they don't want animals to suffer."

Umm... Hey faggots, what about the plants that you are murdering? Yes, plants are LIVING ENTITIES. They have cells, they function & live & break down sunlight into food to keep themselves alive.

Plants are alive whether you like it or not. Ripping them from their root system & devouring them is KILLING them. Whether you like it or not, you are all hypocrites.

You are simply substituting killing an animal, for killing a plant, you are still killing, and you should be aware of it.

Well, my brother is a vegetarian so I might as well chip in with a defense here. I've talked to him at great length about it so I can speak with a little comprehension of his thoughts here.

You're right, it is killing the plants, and my brother still uses other products that come from animals. His cats are fed meat, because that's the right things to do. In this sense, it's hypocritical.

But it's not necessarily the moral thing of it. To him, he can't stand the thought of eating animal flesh knowing that the animal suffered for it. For some reason, when he feeds his cats, he doesn't get the same feeling. It's about comfort zones. For whatever reason, it feels wrong for him to eat meat. But as far as vegetation goes, he feels no guilt.

I know someone who won't eat McDonalds burgers because the meat is awful quality stuff, that comes from cow's eyelids and the asshole meat of the cow. To him, eating a McDonald's burger just feels wrong. However, when a supermarket chain, Tesco, was found to be selling 'Beef Lasagne' that was actually horse meat a few months back, he wasn't disgusted like most people were. Sure, it should feel wrong, but it didn't. It didn't play on his mind as much as the McDonald's thing does.

At the end of the day, who can really explain their inner thought processes that well? For my veggie brother, the idea of eating meat from an animal that has suffered for it repulses him. And he hasn't eaten meat in about 12 years because of it. But he has a leather chair in his house that he's always sitting in. Hypocritical? A little bit, but it can't be described why one thing is okay, and another isn't to him. That's just how he feels about it.

I will agree though, that the ******** that some veggies and vegans pull with the whole "I'm looking after nature" etc.... is ********* . As long as you don't claim superiority or try to force your choice on other people, abstaining from meat is fine by me.

What if the vegan was a family member and when the other person found out he was vegan, he didnt consider them part of the family anymore, hence the sudden, death in the family?
