Can a robot do something against its own internal programming for any reason whatsoever?

Can a robot form its own internal morals, and then change them on a whim based on extenuating circumstances?

Can a robot go against its own pre-written priorities?

And most of all, when a robot finds itself low on power and resources, does it find itself in a position where it's better at acquiring those resources, or does it just slowly whither until it's acquired for them? Essentially, can a robot change itself?

Well prepare to get your mind blown, because robots have been creating better art than 90% of humans for a while now:

Meet Emily Howell, a program made by David Cope, which analysed music made by some of the greatest composers and was able to synthesize completely new compositions based on those. Musical scholars were baffled, because they couldn't tell apart the "fake" ones from the real ones.

Still not enough? Well hold on to your pants, unless you want to furiosly masturbate to the artwork of The Painting Fool, a program that analyzed paintings from the 16th century all the way to the works of early 20th. And it learned to ******* draw. The funny thing? It went straight into abstraction, even though it has literally thousands of paintings more from the realisic period than the more more modern approach to visual arts.

Loved this movie. I haven't read much of Asimov's work, but he's a great writer and I loved how intelligent the movie was. Even as a kid I could tell that it was awesome.
