I'm actually a pretty good public speaker..... aced both high school and college speech classes and had a few presentations randomly I had to do (for like not school related stuff) and always did very well.....

Not trying to brag....jus sayin'. I know it's tough. Isn't public speaking like one of the top 5 fears in humans or something?

“According to most studies, people's number one fear is public speaking. Number two is death. Death is number two. Does that sound right? This means to the average person, if you go to a funeral, you're better off in the casket than doing the eulogy.”

~Jerry Seinfeld

That generally because there's absolutely no social pressure what-so-ever on the internet, put an extremely shy guy who literally can't talk in front of people on the internet and suddenly you have a guy who's writing ******* novel length comments (half of those words consisting of "faggot" or " ****** " of course). Face to face communication isn't easy for introverts, some can ball up and do it (although it's always kinda obvious they don't want to do it, usually due to short replies) and some just try to avoid it. There is no face to face on the internet.

>Shouldn't start a sentence with "and"
>Shouldn't use "I" or "my"

I have an amazing speaking voice.
And I'm a shut-in nerd.

So I'm amazing at both aspects portrayed in the content.

Too bad none of it really matters, though

There are some people who are really good public speakers but exhibit relatively weak reading and writing skills and vice versa. It's just a simple case of people being different types of learners which are namely auditory, visually and kinaesthetically. Auditory learners are more suited to public speaking, visual learners are better with writing and kinaesthetic learners are better with performing practical tasks. I don't know what I personally consider myself as but I really suck at talking to people let alone public speaking where I often keep stuttering or suddenly forget how to implement my vocab effectively. I have a high-pitched raspy voice that sounds like a 5 year old and because I'd been ripped on relentlessly for it since young age and that I'd never really developed my social skills much from high school, I lack the confidence to speak effectively without experiencing some form of mental block. It's a shame really since you need good verbal skills to get laid and to get decent jobs.

I always read what I right aloud. I usually pace around my room saying it over and over again, occasionally tweaking certain words.

Apparently the problem with reading what you write out loud is it makes you unable to distinguish the difference between words that sound the same
