It really is! I don't understand why people are so afraid of the ocean, even in the case these type of monsters lived, they'd be in the dark depths.

What kind of diving do you mostly do, and where at?

I am 19 too, I've began diving since I was about 15. Greatest thing in the world, you should try spearfishing though, it is difficult, but it is very fun

They're pretty strict on spearfishing in New Zealand, im pretty sure you're not allowed them while scuba diving. My dad whos been diving for like 30 years has a Hawaiian sling that we take down. One time we were down I saw this fish in a perfect position so I tapped dad on the shoulder pointed to the spear and then to me and then to the fish, meaning I wanted to spear it. Dad then takes the spear and shoots the fish thinking thats what I meant. I was really disappointed and could only really explain once we surfaced haha

That's actually the coolest thing I've ever heard, having your own dad be passionate about diving, but yeah, you need a special permit to spearfish while scuba diving, so I always freedive - spearfish, only with the wetsuit, socks, gloves, fins, mask and snorkel.
