Why does everyone defend graffiti, most of it is utter **** and it is illegal 99% of the time. If someone legally painted on a wall I would applaud it but if it's downright vandalism then I applaud the owners for removing it. I wouldn't want someone painting the side of my home with his name and some strange art I won't pretend to understand. I would call the police if that happened. So why is it so different when it happens to something that doesn't belong to you?

yeah i dont understand why graffiti artists just cant paint on canvas or get their own walls built like normal artists. why must they go about painting on some thing they had no right to paint on.

I agree. This was definitely legal I'm guessing. I feel like it's to much work and to big to not be.

you clearly don't know the difference between "tagging" and "graffiti"

Tagging is generally some idiot kids just doodling their ****** handles and making an ugly scribble.

Graffiti is colorful, surreal and always eye catching, sometimes political, sometimes personal, always interesting.

If someone made good graffiti like that on my wall I'd keep it that **** is free art

good art or not, if it is not desired, people won't keep it. A nicely painted wall makes the house/building look a lot cleaner

But what if it was a bunch of gang signs? Or what if you didn't like the art or agree with the statement the artist made? would you remove it?

This post wasn't talking about gang signs or ******** like that.

It was a reference to graffiti ART.

Well of course, but the art in this post is DAMN good and I'd keep it and it would probably help your business, Nobody wants gang signs and of course they should be removed, but on the rare occasion that its beautiful keep that **** . or end up with cocks on your wall

I know a few graffiti artists that do it legally. they go around cities asking if people would like their walls painted properly. when they see some horribly tagged walls with crap on them they go and get paid by the wall owner to paint a beautiful piece on them instead. so typically it stays on there a long long time. but some places dont wanna cough up the cash so they might do it for free after a set amount of time. it really depends on the people and what situation you are in. and I agree that the art that this post has was pretty good and covering it up would be wrong but it could have been a new owner of the building that decided to change it. so look at it this way the new owner has a new wall to paint with a new beautiful picture. maybe someone will come by and fix those cocks? or not.
