why do people still play Skyrim? aren't you sick of the reptitive gameplay?
games should have more than one feature, all the elder scrolls game have is combat, and it's badly done, so they distract you with stupid stories and looks

most games have repetitive gameplay when you get right down to it, it's just a matter of preference of what you tolerate

nah man
other games give you slight changes that make up for it
skyrim has like 3 areas that look different, and when you find the weapons and armour you like, you won't switch
like new vegas, you constantly get new guns, and you can put 8 of those in a quickslot, you can constantly switch weapons
in skyrim, it's the same weapon with a new skin and attributes

using new vegas is an odd comparison, because it has the same problems/strengths.

in terms of areas New Vegas has: wasteland, The Strip and ruined city.
Skyrim has: skyrim itself, the towns and the alternate dimensions you can visit.

as for New Vegas weapons: guns in their respective categories behave like all the other guns in that category, just different appearances and stats, if you find ones you like you just stick with them.
in Skyrim you can put any number of both weapons, spells and items into quickslots, so that's literally the same thing.

so yeah, it's pretty much down to preference

I'll submit that Skyrim definitely has too much combat for its own good. But Oblivion and especially Morrowind have significantly less combat and much more focus on story-telling and world building. You could spend so much more time in towns just exploring, chatting with NPC's and learning things about the world. It was much more varied than Skyrim.

but that's my point
the only focus is on combat, why can't there be more things to do? switch it up a bit
or just not lie about how stealing crops outside the hold would greatly increase prices inside the hold, they shouldn't tell lies

**** son I am still playing New Vegas. But Skyrim just didn't do it for me. The new combat and **** was brutally great, but the game was just never good enough to finish for me.

great? you have a block, a regular attack, and a power attack
that's all you get + a ****** form of dual wielding

in new vegas you do the same thing over and over too, but you keep changing guns, so that's actually fun, starting with a ****** rifle and vaporizing enemies with a minigun
but skyrim is the same thing over and over and over and over

I think it`s more about the fact that Wizards and wizardry draws upon the RPG style, that people seek these days. I mean exploring dungeons, venturing atop huge scale mountains, riding horses into oblivion and beyond, slaying ******* dragons!
On my part Skyrim makes me able to do some kind of things, that i (obviosly) can`t /done have the time to IRL. As far as the game being "repetetive" or not, i could agree.. but I mean, you enjoy the game as much as you put yourself into it.
Graphics are just as good as you want them to be. When you were a child, you had imaginary friends, now you`ve got Skyrim and dragons.

Then again, thats just me..
