I just pray that it will not be the ********* port to PC ever imagined, like 4.
a great game, 4 was... But it was such a bitch to play on a PC.

GTA:5 is probably going to be amazing, I highly doubt that it's going to flop, but you still shouldn't pre-order games. For more than a couple reasons, it does more harm to the industry than people imagine.

Well, the UK alone had 3,000,000 pre orders and it would only take around 4,500,000 pre orders to make back what they spent (assuming full payment for every pre order)

I love Rock Star I'v never played a game of there I didn't like until GTA 4.

The only good thing about 4 was it looked nice.

the controls where **** , the story line was super super boring and repetitive, the characters all felt bland(GTA SA had the best character development in any gta game I actually liked them guys, I felt pissed off and betrayed when I found out about big smoke,) gta 4 they where all just bitchy and boring. it was a massive disappointment.

And 4 was not optimized for PC.

300+ for mine and still rising, store wants all of the employees clocked in that day. **** is going to be HEAVY. (assuming people will actually show up for their pre-order)
User avatar #20 to #19 - shagtastic (09/11/2013) [-]
I just worked today and were just over 300 now, Ha that's the same with our store everyone's on, you guys doing a midnight launch as well? (I ******* hate when people do that.. )
User avatar #21 to #20 - degl (09/11/2013) [-]
I wish, I friggin sleep in too goddamn much so midnights would be great. We work in a popular international mall so we always have a butt ton of traffic anyways. our weekly goal is over 30,000. I hate it when we get a call from another store to have our pre orders cancelled because the customer didn't hear me repeatedly tell him that "you have to pick it up HERE, the store you reserved in" but hey. Retail right?
User avatar #22 to #21 - shagtastic (09/11/2013) [-]
Ha, yeah on the 17th at midnight we open up and start handing out the per-orders, I think this year our store owner paid off Tim Horton like $1,000 tawords free coffee and cookies for everyone that shows up.
User avatar #23 to #22 - degl (09/11/2013) [-]
I'm sure we'll be doing a midnight release for the consoles though, that'll be FUN. (being an international store and all, we get people constantly asking us if the consoles are out yet because we are in America and everything gets here faster. Not sooner than the release date. what position are ya?
User avatar #24 to #23 - shagtastic (09/11/2013) [-]
Oh man, Its not just in America. I have people contently calling and asking when the new gens are coming out, I'm a closer/till worker.
Trying to climb my way to the assistant management position, our Manager is leaving in a few months so theirs a position opening up. haha hopefully i can nab it.
User avatar #25 to #24 - degl (09/11/2013) [-]
Oooh, so your a Canadian store, now the Tim Horton reference makes sense. I'm down in Texas and people here aren't all that big on hockey, seeing how there isn't even snow here. That and I'm not big on sports, we rarely sell any NHL, FIFA is the biggest deal here.
User avatar #26 to #25 - shagtastic (09/11/2013) [-]
NHl14 did pretty good for itself here, I can get that though i've been to Texas a few times to escape the hockey crazed people up here, as for the snow. Be lucky we get about 3-5ft of snow where I live.
User avatar #3 to #2 - shagtastic (09/10/2013) [-]
So our store gathered $14,856.64

Your welcome Rock star.
