I've had a sleep disorder since I was about six or younger in which sleeping "too often" (such as nightly) is difficult for me - I only get tired every two or three days on average, and can stay up for four with little to no loss of mental function.
Hit my record when I was in my early teen years: five and a half, nearly six days; but I was a living zombie by that point and crashed for a full twenty-four hours. Can't imagine that was very healthy.

Ironically, I've always seemed to be unusually caffeine-resistant. ... Even I shudder to think what would happen if I tried red bull and coffee, though. Maybe mix an energy drink with espresso or something? I don't want to find out.

In regards to sleeping schedule, the only side-effects I've found thus far are chronic dark circles under my eyes, however.
Who knows, maybe my father was just a panda with a bad case of insomnia.
