Everyone has at least one country song they love, even if they'll never admit it.

You don't have to like country to love Johnny.

I hate modern country music because it's nothing but rednecks
Redneck music: Half rap and talks about getting drunk and running off making bad decisions with some stupid slut girls while getting into drunken fights after going mudding with a jacked up pick up truck

Country: I love and respect a woman and am going to do my best to keep her happy and take care of her, maybe i'll best the devil in a fiddle contest and then love my country and home.

Rednecks suck, they are the to country people what ******* are to black people.
We hate them but we get stuck in the same boat as them

Older country music was about something. "Country" went from being a genre, to being a music style. Anybody can be a country singer if there is an acoustic guitar and a cowboy hat in the video.

Reba McEntire is my favorite country artist. One of her most famous songs "Fancy" was about a young girl from a dirt poor family who is sent into town by her mother to be a prostitute. Her siblings are taken away, her mother dies, and she uses her connections to important people she prostituted for to make something of herself.

That song is heartbreaking.

These days you just need to sing about pickup trucks and drinking to win a grammy for country music.

What gets me mad is when people who end up not liking modern "country" (which is mostly alternative/modern rock with an accent and occasionally a steel guitar) never find the likes of Charley Pride or the Statler Brothers.
Anybody Going to San Antone is damn catchy too.

As much as I love country music, I love how people defend it by saying old country was best because it was never dirty or inappropriate, yet Conway Twitty sang an entire song about how much he wanted to **** his wife, no matter how ugly she looked

I live in Texas and really don't like country music, but whenever I leave and hear it, it makes me think of home and I get nostalgic.

I'm from North Carolina and dislike most country, there's a few songs here and there that I can take but for the most part I don't like it. Last summer I went to the islands (Caribbean) through an international program, and out of the 15 people in my group (only 4 Americans) I was the only one who didn't like country.... So I spent the entire trip having to hear Toby Kieth, Kieth Urban, and whoever the **** else people listen There is no escape from country music

inb4 cool story bro.
